Masini's goals pace Mo-Beard

Morristown-Beard rode two goals by senior midfielder Alissa Masini to a 3-2 win over Mount St. Dominic in a North Jersey, Non-Public quarterfinal on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Victoria Palazzetti chipped in with a goal for the Crimson. Isabella Cuomo had an assist for Morristown-Beard, slated to face Kent Place in the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Mount St. Dominic's goals came off the sticks of Lauren Callahan and Jackie Smith.

Madison 4, Bernards 0

Goals by Amanda DaSilva, Caroline Turnbull, Elizabeth Romano and Kaitlyn DaSilva propelled the top-seeded Dodgers past Bernards In a North Jersey Section 2, Group II semifinal on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

DaSilva and Turnbull also were on the assist side of scoring plays. 

Emilie Flamme, the Dodgers' goalie, needed to make only two saves. Bernards goalie Sara Whelan ended with 14 saves. Madison will meet Voorhees on Friday, Nov. 6 for the sectional title. 

Warren Hills 7, Montville 0

Dani Profita's hat trick highlighted top-seeded Warren Hills' shutout of Montville in a North Jersey Section 1, Group III semifinal on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Rebecca Lezon, Rachel Phillips, Katie Thompson and Maddy Roerig added a goal apiece for the Blue Streaks, who will clash with Mendham in the sectional final. Assists were by Megan Thompson, Tali Popinko and Mikayla Dugan.

Sarah Karback had a busy day in goal for fourth-seeded Montville, making 17 saves.

Montville 1, Wayne Hills 0

A goal by senior forward Kellie Vizzuso with 6:49 remaining snapped a scoreless deadlock and boosted fourth-seeded Montville to a 1-0 win over Wayne Hills in Section 1, Group III quarterfinal action on Monday, Nov. 2.

Mustangs goalie Sarah Karback finished with two saves. Gina Della Stritto, a senior defender, made a critical goal-line save.

Montville (12-4-1) advances to the semifinals, where it will meet top-seeded Warren Hills.

West Morris 1, Northern Highlands 0 (OT)

Sophomore forward Faith Spaziano tallied the Wolfpack's lone goal 4:46 into overtime, lifting them over Northern Highlands in a North Jersey Section 1, Group III quarterfinal on Monday, Nov. 2.

Another sophomore, Sarah Foran, assisted on the gamewinner, which was scored 4:44 into the extra period. Right midfielder Erin Rubright initiated the scoring play by sending the ball into the circle to Foran. Emily Egan came up with eight saves to notch the shutout in goal.

West Morris, which had the advantage on corners, 22-10, and 21 shots on goal, moved into the sectional semifinals. It will oppose sister school Mendham on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Warren Hills 2, Roxbury 0

A pair of first-half goals by Megan Thompson propelled Warren Hills, the top seed, past the Gaels in North Jersey Section 1, Group III play on Monday, Nov. 2.

Assists were by Dani Profita and Tali Popinko. Gaels goalie Kaitlyn O'Shea turned back 21 shots on goal.

Warren Hills will take on Montville in a sectional semifinal on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Madison 11, Cranford 0

A hat trick by senior forward Stephanie Dellavia and two-goal efforts by Elizabeth Romano, Abby Chopoorian and Amanda DaSilva powered top-seeded Madison past eighth-seeded Cranford in a North Jersey Section 2, Group II quarterfinal on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Other goals came off the sticks of Kaitlyn DaSilva and Gillian Parrett.

Romano set up three goals and Emma Ticknor and Catherine Crowley had two assists apiece for the Dodgers, who took an 8-0 halftime lead.

Emilie Flamme finished with two saves for Madison.

Ramsey 4, Parsippany 0

The Rams, who received two goals and an assist from Kassidy Shetler, blanked Parsippany in North Jersey Section 1, Group II quarterfinal action on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Mary Pless and Rebecca Moya added goals for Ramsey. Red Hawks goalie Kaylene Munoz came up with 17 saves.

"Ramsey was disciplined and hustled after everything," Parsippany coach Rebecca Lilienthal said. "They're a strong team. Our inexperience hurt us today but we fought hard."

Newton 3, Lenape Valley 1

Top-seeded and defending champion Newton, behind a pair of goals by Natalie Rivas, defeated eighth-seeded Lenape Valley 3-1 in a North Jersey Section 1, Group I quarterfinal on Friday, Oct. 30.

Emily Weiss scored for the Braves and also had an assist. Hannah Ervey and Kate Barbato had assists for Newton. Kristen Rafferty knocked in the Patriots' goal.

Kaylee Gentilucci had 10 saves for Lenape Valley. Katie O'Brien turned away two shots for Newton, which will meet No. 4 Belvidere in the semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 3. 

Kittatinny 2, Mountain Lakes 1

The Cougars' decisive goal was scored by Jenn Smalley, who scored off a penalty stroke late in the second half of this North Jersey Section 1, Group I quarterfinal on Friday, Oct. 30.

Hailee Lolk also scored for third-seeded Kittatinny. Jane Brennan put the ball across the goal line for the sixth-seeded Lakers with three minutes left.

Meghan Cuozzo turned in a fine game in goal for Mountain Lakes, rejecting 11 shots. Carly Palmer had six saves for the Cougars.

Morristown 4, Westfield 0

Olivia Graham, a freshman, had a pair of goals and an assist to fuel Morristown's victory over Westfield in a North Jersey Section 1, Group IV quarterfinal on Thursday, Oct. 29.

Graham has four goals and two assists over theColonials' last two games. Devon Colquhoun and Callie Sundin also scored for the second-seeded Colonials. Sundin and Marlena Fahmy had assists.

Bella Vega ended with two saves for Morristown, which will meet Randolph in a sectional semifinal on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Morristown-Beard 2, Pennington 1 (shootout)

Victoria Palazzetti's stroke was the decisive one, boosting the Crimson over Pennington in a Prep B semifinal action on Thursday, Oct. 29.

Isabella Cuomo also put in a stroke. A goal by Sam Chanzit with 7:30 remaining in the second half knotted the score for Morristown-Beard.

Crimson goalie Devin Blanchard came up with 11 saves. 

Roxbury 4, Wayne Hills 0

Junior forward Kayla Bedel-Franklin had two goals and two assists to power eighth-seeded Roxbury past ninth-seeded Wayne Hills in a North Jersey Section 1, Group III first-round game on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Additional goals for Roxbury were by Emma Karnitsky and Kathleen Scerra.

With the win, the Gaels advance to the quarterfinals, where they will clash with top-seeded Warren Hills.

Parsippany 4, River Dell 0

The Red Hawks gained the shutout in this North Jersey Section 1, Group II game behind Catherine Lanigan's two goals.

Juliana DeIntinis and Lily Tran also scored for seventh-seeded Parsippany (8-10).

Kaylene Munoz ended with 13 saves for the winners.

Sparta 1, Parsippany Hills 0 (OT)

The Spartans won for the third time in four games, securing the win in a North Jersey Section 1, Group II opening-round game on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Jackie Hallack scored the game-winning goal in overtime for Sparta (12-8-1).

Parsippany Hills goalie Anne Norwood stopped 17 shots.

High Point 3, Jefferson 1

Two goals by Kelsey Little helped spur High Point in North Jersey Section 1, Group II action on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Tyra Wingle, a freshman, opened the scoring for the Wildcats, converting 8:30 into the first half. Little scored her first goal seven minutes later. Alexis Sisco and Kayla Halloran set up the score.

Little, a junior, scored her second goal off a pass from Halloran. High Point improved to 7-11.

Pequannock 5, Westwood 0

Pequannock rode Kate Weidmann's two-goal effort to a victory over Westwood in North Jersey Section 1, Group I  opening-round play on Monday, Oct. 26.

Lexi Toback, Sam Murphy and Emily Hokr also connected for the Golden Panthers (10-5-3).

Hokr also set up two goals. Kaitlyn Natoli turned back 13 shots to earn the shutout in goal.

Mountain Lakes 2, Whippany Park 0

Abby Marshall and Isabella Fragomeni had second-half goals to highlight the Lakers' triumph over Whippany Park in North Jersey Section 1, Group I action on Monday, Oct. 26.

Marshall's goal came off a penalty stroke.

Julia Aasmaa had an assist for Mountain Lakes (8-7-1).

Belvidere 2, Butler 0

Paige White and Sam Bittenbender provided the offense for Belvidere when it blanked Butler in a North Jersey Section 1, Group I game on Monday, Oct. 26.

Maddie Beaumont came up with two saves for Belvidere.

Erin McFall posted 19 saves for the Bulldogs.

Lenape Valley 1, Boonton 0

Kristen Rafferty scored a second-half goal to lift the Patriots over Boonton in a North Jersey Section 1, Group I opener on Monday, Oct. 26.

Hollis Smith and Jill Amato had assists.

Kaylee Gentilucci of Lenape Valley and Sarah Larsen of Boonton each had seven saves in goal.

Ridge 4, Morris Knolls 0

Abby Ursino scored twice to propel Ridge to a shutout victory over Morris Knolls in North Jersey Section 1, Group IV action on Monday, Oct. 26.

Laura Pavlosky and Brooke Guilano also scored for the winners. Kerry Cassidy had an assist.

Golden Eagles goalie Cyndy Vuong made 14 saves.

Morristown 3, Montville 0

The Colonials, who received two goals and an assist from Olivia Graham, gained a regular-season win over the Mustangs on Monday, Oct. 26.

Callie Sundin contributed a goal for Morristown, which improved its record to 13-6.

Quinn Colquhoun, Mackenzie Sundin and Devin Colquhoun had assists for the Colonials.

West Morris 2, Roxbury 2

Faith Spaziano and Jackie Drzewinski had goals for the Wolfpack when they played to a deadlock with Roxbury.

Cassie Rhein and Kayla Bedel-Franklin put the ball across the goal line for the Gaels.
