ROXBURY _ There have been times when West Morris has gained the Morris County Tournament title without a significant challenge.
Some seasons, the Wolfpack have had to fight to be the best in the county. No matter what the scenario, it never gets old.

BOONTON _ Being carded for pushing and having to leave the Morris County Tournament final irked Madison senior midfielder Tori Ellis.
Ellis, a three-year starter for the Dodgers, realizes every minute is precious and she, of course, wanted to be on the field for the duration.

Disanza, Curham post upsets
PARSIPPANY _ High Point's Sarah Disanza could hear Mackenzie Barry's spikes. Disanza also could hear the Mendham standout breathing, seemingly inches behind her.

ROXBURY _ Morristown is excited about making a journey into uncharted territory. The Colonials are equally thrilled about having a chance to gain revenge.
After three trips to the Morris County Tournament semifinals, Morristown finally broke through, landing a berth in the title game by defeating Mount Olive, 25-23, 25-19, on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Roxbury High School.

DeRiggi OT goal powers Hornets
DOVER _ The Hanover Park girls didn't get mad or frustrated or bitterly upset over a goal by Dover that sent the game into overtime.
The Hornets got even which put them ahead in the game and also even for the season. Freshman forward Alexandra DeRiggi scored 1:40 into the second overtime period to lift Hanover Park to a 2-1 triumph over Dover in a regular season contest on Thursday, Oct. 11 in the soggy grass at Dover High. Sophomore forward Janine Laudati scored a goal in regulation for Hanover Park (5-5-1).
Miyashiro breaks the tension
MORRISTOWN _ Diane DeSalvo put her hand to her face and spread her fingers slightly, just enough to catch a glimpse of Marissa Miyashiro's penalty-stroke attempt with 7:56 left in Morristown's game against West Morris.
The Colonials' long-time coach wasn't sure she wanted to look at all.
Taylor attains 1,000th assist
MORRISTOWN _ Bradley Taylor, content with being a libero, never aspired to be a setter.
So, when Morristown coach Ron Davenport asked Taylor to switch positions near the end of her sophomore year, she was outwardly agreeable. Inside, Taylor was against it.
