Pequannock shuts out Butler

Thursday, 25 April 2013 02:32 Published in Softball

Melissa Jurkiewicz is Jefferson's ace.

MORRISTOWN _ Nick DeGennaro was flattered when his Jefferson softball team was voted the top seed for the 2013 Morris County Softball Tournament.

"I think it's great to receive a high level of respect from your colleagues," said DeGennaro, whose Falcons are 8-1. "It's nice to be recognized but it doesn't mean anything. You get the home field for a few games. We're No. 1 but we haven't won anything yet."
