MVP Savite buoys Wolfpack

Prior to Saturday night's Morris County Field Hockey Tournament final, Ellis promised to wear the hat, which she found in the locker room before boarding the bus, if the Dodgers captured the title.

MORRISTOWN _ Monica Ulrich preferred that Villa Walsh legitimately earn its berth in the state tournament. Gaining entry the alternative way - by applying for admission with a record under .500 - would not sit well with Ulrich, a junior setter and co-captain.

Faasse made switch to defense with ease, excels

Heather Faasse distinguished herself while at Jefferson High School by being involved in three sports and earning 12 varsity letters. "It made me feel like I accomplished something," Faasse said. "I did something that not many people do. A lot of kids focus on only one sport."
